Cook from frozen. Remove all packaging and cook in manageable batches. Every wing portion must reach an internal temperature of at least 75°C before serving.
Oven baking
Preheat a conventional oven to 180°C. Arrange the frozen wing portions in one layer on a lightly oiled baking tray, leaving space between them.
Allow approximately 20–25 minutes, turning halfway through. Check the internal temperature before serving and continue cooking if the centre has not reached 75°C.
Deep frying
Heat the oil to 180°C. Carefully lower a small batch of frozen wing portions into the fryer without overloading the basket.
Allow approximately 3½–4½ minutes, then check the internal temperature. Continue cooking if the centre has not reached 75°C. Carefully drain the cooked portions on absorbent kitchen paper.
Air frying
Follow your appliance manufacturer’s instructions for cooking frozen, bone-in, breaded chicken that requires full cooking, including preheating, temperature and batch size.
Arrange the portions in a single layer with space for air to circulate. Turn as directed and check the internal temperature before serving. Continue cooking until the centre reaches at least 75°C.
If your appliance does not provide a suitable method, use the oven or deep-fryer instructions above.
Before serving
Use a clean food thermometer to check the thickest part of the meat, keeping the probe clear of the bone. Check several of the largest portions from different areas of the tray or basket.
Do not rely on cooking time or the colour of the coating alone. If any checked portion is below 75°C, continue cooking and check again.
Serve promptly after cooking. Contains bones. Not suitable for microwave cooking.
Storage
Keep frozen at or below −18°C until required.
Cooking times are guides only and vary with the appliance, portion size and batch size. Always follow the instructions on your current pack and confirm the internal temperature before serving.
